Sharing a Promise on Propellor
Propellor allows you to share promises with users on other accounts, or even with other people who haven’t signed up for Propellor. In either case, the user will be able to view the promise that you have shared with them, but they will not be able to edit it or see any other information on your account – you have control over who you share your promises with.
Step 1 – Starting from the dashboard, click on the title of a promise to go to the promise profile.
Step 2 – On the promise profile, in the top-right of the main panel, there are a number of buttons. Click on the “Share” button to open up the “Share Promise” prompt.
Step 3 – On the “Share Promise” prompt, you will be prompted to enter an email address to share the promise. Click on the box labelled “Email to share” and type in the email address of the person you wish to share the promise with.
Step 4 – After typing in the email address, click on the “Share” button. This will send out an invitation email to the email you entered.
Step 5 – If the email invite was successfully sent, you will be notified “Invite sent successfully” as above. If you are finished, click on the “Close” button. You have now successfully shared your first promise! Step 6 below shows you what the invite email will look like.
Step 6 – An email invitation will be sent to the email address that you entered. An example invitation is listed above. On the invitation, if the user clicks on “View promise”, they will be taken to the page to view the promise.
